UTTIL Colour Guide: With UTTIL Colours, you can choose the right model instantly.
In UTTIL, the colours are designed to help you
grasp the product's basic quality at first glance.
The four primary colours of UTTIL are Arctic
Glacier Turquoise, Arctic Tundra Earth, Arctic Rock Grey and
Aurora Borealis Green. Our colours are inspired by the Arctic continent,
which is under the most serious threat of global warming.
Let us now review the colours and the tasks defined in
our products:
1) Standard Models (18 mm body): Colour =
mechanism
In these families, the colour indicates the locking
quality:
Arctic Glacier Turquoise →
Auto-lock
Aurora Borealis Green →
Screw-lock with screw tightening
Example:
NMUK03 - Arctic Glacier
Turquoise: Automatic locking + snap-off blade.
VMUK03 - Aurora Borealis
green: Screw clamping locking + non-segmented blade.
By looking at the colour, you can instantly answer the
question "speed (auto-locking) or depth of cut (screw-lock)?" and
choose the right model for the job faster.
The same reading applies to the other series:
NMUK04 / VMUK04 (aluminium
body)
NMUK05 / VMUK05 (aluminium
+ plastic housing)
NMUK09 / VMUK09 (HIPS
+ TPE, ergonomic body)
- In these series, the logic "Arctic Glacier turquoise
= automatic lock, Aurora Borealis green = screw-lock"
makes it easy to quickly recognise the respective model not only on your
workbench or toolbox, but also on the shelf at the time of purchase.
2) Pocket Types (9 mm and 18 mm): Colour =
Blade Attribute
In the PTUK07 and PTUK08 families, the
colour tells the cutting character of the blade:
Standard snap-off -
Aurora Borealis green
30-degree snap-off or TiN coating: Arctic
Glacier Turquoise:
Non-segmented: Arctic
Rock Grey
So you can read the blade type characteristics
"precision, long life, one-piece" at a glance, thanks to the colour,
and quickly select the most suitable tool for your task.
3) Aura Natura: Natural Appearance, Natural
Colour
In Aura Natura variants (e.g., NMUK03-AN, VMUK05-AN,
etc.), the body colour is the result of the natural composite used (e.g., wood
chips + PP).
It does not specify any characteristics; the materials
are presented without any colouring chemistry, showing the naturalness of the
material.
The choice should again be based on the mechanism
(automatic / screw) and blade type (snap-off / segmentless, etc.).
Summary for quick decision:
Standard (18 mm) series:
Arctic Glacier Turquoise → Automatic locking
Aurora Borealis Green → Screw clamped
Pocket types (PTUK07 or PTUK08 series):
Colour → blade quality (standard: green /
segmentless: grey / 30° or TiN-coated: turquoise )
Aura Natura
Colour → natural raw material appearance (no feature
marking)
